I epically failed at the rBC rail shortcut and I fell off and then failed the startup boost.

I know that one, but It's hard to do, so I avoid the risk of failing. I didn't know that mushroom shortcut at the beginning though

Yeah, I often fail at the rail cut, and sometimes I just fail the spindrift and crash into the wall. Shame on the Bowser Bike and it's not-as-good-as-Mach-Bike drift. The shroomcut at the beginning doesn't save too much time. However, there is a shroomcut as soon as you exit the castle: Here, it's done at 0:37. |

If you have them practised so that you can get them at least 80% of the time, use them on wifi. The most helpful ones are the BCwii glitch (very hard to do, if you can do it 65% of the time, use it), the BC3 cut (it also helps to know how to block it with a banana or FIB) and the GV lava glitch. The DKS(C) single chasm cut also helps although it doesn't save too much time. The double cut is much harder, I can't do it.
